K to 12 Plus Welcomes Ms. Jenny Schultz of BMZ

The K-12 PLUS Philippine Project gave a warm welcome to Ms. Jenny Schultz of the German Federal Ministry for Econonomic Development and Cooperation/ Cooperation with the Private Sector Development along with Mr. Tarek Abulzahab, sequa, Project Director of the K-12 PLUS Project. A highlight of the trip was meeting the faculty of the Laiya National High School who together with Aquatico Resort, form part of the K-12 PLUS Pilot Hospitality Cluster.

K-12 Plus celebrates Mabuhay Germany 2015!

 

   

Mabuhay Germany 2015 was a success. There were lots of music, German food, a business fair, games, discussions, cultural performances, and many other attractions at Bonifacio High Street, BGC, last Feb 21 and 22, 2015. The K-12 Plus Project Booth was a big crowd draw. The logo " My Future is in TVET!" was impressed to kids of all ages as they were asked to participate in different games to test their coordination. The challenge was to find out if they were "Fit enough for TVET". K-12 Plus was also invited to host a one hour forum on Feb. 21 with TESDA to explain the project's booth challenge in line with our advocacy.

Dual Training Partnership Forum

Building Sustainable and Productive Industry-Academe Partnerships for World-class TVET was the theme at the DUAL TRAINING PARTNERSHIP FORUM held February 4, 2015 at the TESDA Women’s Center, TESDA Complex. Ms. Marta M. Hernandez, Executive Director of TESDA's Partnerships and Linkages Office gave the welcome on behalf of Sec. Emmanuel Joel Villanueva. Mr. Alfredo M. Yao President, Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry gave the message and H.E. Thomas Ossowski   Ambassador to the Philippines was the invited keynote speaker.

 

Cost Benefit Analysis Model (CBA MODEL) Training

http://www.bibb.de/en/ The Bibb Institute's mandated tasks include conducting research on vocational education and training, developing vocational education and training, serving in an advisory capacity and providing services. They were here to conduct a two day Cost Benefit Workshop. 

 

 

The workshop was carried out by a team of two BIBB experts. Mr. Michael Schwarz, focusing on process management, moderation and methodical implementation. His focus is on bilateral cooperation with partner institutions and within the framework of intergovernmental agreements as well as systemic advises concerning the establishment or reform of vocational education systems. He is in charge of the partner institutions in Asia, mainly with South Korea and the Philippines but also for Thailand and Viet Nam. He advices to the reform of VET reporting under special focus of cost-benefit analysis and in the Palestinian Territories (organisational development). The other, Dr. Gesa Münchhausen, is in charge of the technical input, research and long-term work on issues involving teaching, learning and the development of skills and competences in the vocational training field. Special focus is on the theoretical and empirical aspects of the economics of education - in other words: the costs, benefits and financing of initial and continuing vocational training. It was held last January 13 - 14, 2015 at the PCCI BA Securities Hall.
