Food Processing NC II Assessment of Pilot Students

September 1, 2016 / Cebu - All 26 K to 12 Plus Project pilot students in Food Manufacturing Cluster who took the recent TESDA competency assessment on Food Processing NC II passed.

The assessment which took place at University of Cebu - Lapulapu & Mandaue Campus is conducted by Ms. Brenda C. Bation. Pilot students were requested to perform/create products such as Mango Jam, Vegetable Pickles, Tocino and Longganisa aside from their individual oral and written examinations.

To ensure Dual(ized) Training approach, these students are enrolled at Barrio Luz National High School for their academic instructions and Philippine School of Culinary Arts for their technical instructions. First immersion phase to complete their Grade 11 training for Food Processing were conducted at Central Seafood, Inc. and Magic Melt Foods, Inc. from Feb. 29 - April 30, 2016 (for a total of 400 hours).
