K to 12 Plus Project attends 49th Annual Meeting of ADB’s Board of Governors

As part of the 49th Annual Meeting of ADB’s Board of Governors, the K to 12 Plus Project was given the chance to showcase what has been done for the past three years.

The K-12 Plus project was present in Germany. The Project was represented in the sequa stand in the “City of Sustainabilty” in Hall 5 where the team was able to feature the strides and milestones of the results that had been made in the Philippines.

ADB is currently contributing to job generation and improving workplace environment by empowering skills and education development for the youth.

In the opening statement of ADB President Takehiko Nakao, he stressed the importance of education and skills development along with improving the private sectors and combating the climate change are factors to improve a sustainable region.

“Jobs empower people and reduce poverty in the most fundamental way,” said Mr. Nakao. “Employment opportunities, especially for our youth, are essential to make the economy vibrant and to promote social stability. We should also ensure a safe and decent work environment.”
